Netherlands to host sixth Floriade flower show by Cheap Flights Booker UK

There will be some memorable sights on offer to travellers staying in hotels in the Netherlands this year, with the Floriade World Horticultural Expo set to return to the country for its sixth outing.

Venlo, a city in the south-east near the border with Germany, will provide the setting for the flower show from 5 April to 7 October.

Floriade is held just once every ten years and always takes place at a different location in the Netherlands.

The central theme for this year"s event will encourage visitors to "be part of the theatre in nature", with five dedicated zones exploring the relationship between the consumer and the horticultural sector.

Due to open to the public from 10:00 to 19:00 local time every day, the expo will have entrance fees starting from €25 (£21) for adults and €12.50 for children between the ages of four and 12 years.

Nature lovers visiting the Netherlands this year can also see some of the spectacular floral displays at the Keukenhof gardens, which will open from 22 March to 20 May.
