Qantas Turns Inflight Magazine Into IPad App

Qantas turns inflight magazine into iPad app by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Qantas has announced details of a new iPad app - a digital edition of the airline"s inflight magazine The Australian Way.

From 1 March, the carrier"s customers will be able to access the publication anywhere at any time on their iPads.

The digital version of the magazine is being launched in response to passenger requests for subscriptions, back copies and page reprints.

People travelling on international flights and services within Australia with Qantas can still read the print edition of The Australian Way and take a copy home.

Introducing the new app, Alan Joyce, the airline"s chief executive officer, said: "This was the obvious next step for our ever-popular magazine.

"[It] is Australia"s best-read inflight magazine and we know our unique content will provide iPad users with a valuable resource for their travel planning."

Readers have access to city guides, news, sport, leisure articles and other features, while users of the iPad application will be offered additional resources including videos and photo galleries.

The app will be available to download for free from the Apple store.
