Radisson property in Amsterdam named "hotel of the year" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The Carlson Rezidor hospitality group has named the Radisson Blu property in Amsterdam its global hotel of the year.

Situated in the heart of the Netherlands" capital city, the establishment was singled out as the best of more than 420 Radisson hotels around the world.

It received praise for various aspects of its operation, including guest satisfaction, market positioning, employee engagement and business performance.

Speaking at the award ceremony during a conference in Nassau in the Bahamas, Rezidor president and chief executive Kurt Ritter said: "The Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam has delivered an outstanding result - not only in 2011, but over the last three years.

"It has truly raised the bar in achieving operations and service excellence within our group."

The accolade was presented to hotel manager Ronald Smithjes, who said the prize was the result of hard work by all of the property"s staff over a long period.
