Tunisia set to launch UK ad campaign by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Tunisia"s national tourism agency will next week launch a new marketing initiative promoting the north African country in the UK.

Due to run for three months, the campaign will focus on the fact that there is now "more to celebrate" in the country, reflecting the recent election of a new government and steps towards democracy.

Advertisements will appear on buses and across the national rail network, highlighting attractions including archaeological sites and white-sand beaches.

The first wave of the campaign will also feature print and online media promotions in April, May and June, with a second phase due to launch in the autumn.

Wahida Jaiet, director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office in the UK and Ireland, said: "We all know tourism in Tunisia took a hit following the Jasmine Revolution, but British visitors have been quick to return and the UK is now our third most important market."

Ms Jaiet went on to say that the country now combines the sandy beaches and rich history that have attracted visitors for many years with a sense of reform and optimism.
