British Airways is set to expand its route network from London City, where it is now the largest operator based on the number of services and passengers.
The delivery of another Embraer 190 aircraft late this summer will bring the carrier"s total fleet size at the Docklands airport to 14 planes.
BA will then have the capacity to launch new year-round flights to Venice in September and also increase frequency on services to Frankfurt and Glasgow.
The airline is also preparing to introduce new routes from London City to Mahon in Menorca and the northern cities of Quimper and Angers in France from May.
Commenting on the growing appeal of the airport, BA CityFlyer managing director Peter Simpson said: "Our customers love the quick and easy service at London City, just 15 minutes from kerbside to airside, making the most of their valuable time."
The carrier operates services to a total of 22 destinations in the UK, Europe and the United States from the base, including New York, Barcelona and Zurich.
