Malaysia Airlines A380 To Feature Child Free Zone
Malaysia Airlines A380 to feature child-free zone by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Malaysia Airlines has taken the potentially controversial move of banning children from the upper deck of its Airbus A380 aircraft.
The decision was made to allow adults to travel in peace and not be disturbed by youngsters crying.
An age limit will be enforced on the entire upper deck of the airline"s A380s, meaning only adults and children aged 12 and over will be able to sit there.
Malaysia Airlines said it opted to introduce the age restrictions after receiving complaints from passengers who had paid for premium seats but had not been able to relax or sleep because of noisy children.
The change will first come into effect on the carrier"s route from London to Kuala Lumpur, before being introduced on flights to Sydney from September.
Up to 66 business class travellers and 70 economy customers can be accommodated on the upper floor of Malaysia Airlines" Airbus A380.
The first class cabin is located on the lower deck.
