30 Elvises try out new ride in New Jersey by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The new SkyScreamer ride at the Six Flags Great Adventure park in New Jersey this week made its debut with an unusual group of guests - 30 Elvis impersonators wearing red and white jumpsuits.
Forming the centrepiece of the new Adventure Alley area, the 24-storey attraction holds 32 people in open-air swings that spin around while climbing to the top of a tower.
At full swing, riders complete a 98-foot loop at speeds of up to 40mph.
Six Flags Great Adventure president John Fitzgerald said: "SkyScreamer takes thrills to new heights.
"Standing an imposing 24 stories tall, SkyScreamer has redefined our skyline and offers guests a 360-degree, bird"s eye view of the property."
The presence of 30 Elvis impersonators on the new ride reflected the retro style of the Adventure Alley zone, which also boasts the music-themed scrambler Deja Vu and Air Jumbo, which features flying elephants.
All the attractions will open to the general public and holidaymakers visiting New Jersey in the north-east United States on 23 May.
