BA unveils "Jubilee jumbo" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British Airways (BA) will fly a message around the world congratulating Queen Elizabeth II on her Diamond Jubilee with a specially designed Boeing 747.

The aircraft features a logo designed by 11-year-old Blue Peter competition winner Katherine Dewar from Chester alongside the words "Congratulations, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II"s Diamond Jubilee".

Katherine said winning the contest had been "like a dream come true", adding that she hoped to fly on the special 747 on her next family holiday to Florida.

BA captain Mark Mannering-Smith commented: "As the national flag carrier I can"t think of anything more fitting than British Airways carrying a message of congratulations to Her Majesty around the world."

Passengers on flights to London over the Jubilee weekend of 2 to 5 June will hear announcements from airline captains marking the occasion.

Celebrations will also take place in BA"s Heathrow lounges, where guests will be offered traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches, sweet treats and a special blend of tea from Twinings.
