KLM launches flights to Zambia by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers interested in exploring southern Africa can now fly to Zambia with KLM.
The Dutch carrier has strengthened its presence on the African continent by making Lusaka, Zambia"s capital and largest city, its 72nd intercontinental destination.
Direct flights to the location will be available three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A330 with the capacity to carry 243 passengers.
KLM noted that Zambia is an important business destination owing to its mining industry but also offers plenty of experiences for tourists, with the Zambezi river and the city of Livingstone near Victoria Falls among the top attractions.
Erik Varwijk, the airline"s managing director, said Africa is of "great importance" to the company"s wider network.
"Together with Air France and our partner Kenya Airways, we can open the way to Zambia for the rest of the world," he added.
Lusaka is KLM"s 14th destination in Africa, with flights to Johannesburg, Accra and Lagos among the other travel options available to people interested in seeing this part of the world.
