EasyJet teams up with Unicef by Cheap Flights Booker UK
EasyJet is set to launch a partnership with Unicef that the airline claims will help save children"s lives around the world.
Branded Change for Good, the initiative will run across the carrier"s full European network during the peak summer and winter holiday seasons.
From 2 July 2012, some of the 55m people who travel on easyJet"s 600-plus routes will be given the opportunity to support Unicef"s work and help children around the world by dropping spare change into specially designed pouches.
The money will help to fund projects such as providing mosquito nets to combat malaria and vaccinating children against diseases like measles and polio.
EasyJet chief executive Carolyn McCall said the airline is confident that its passengers will be eager to support the cause.
Unicef UK executive director David Bull added: "This partnership gives us at Unicef a unique opportunity to generate significant new support for our vital work with children and also bring information about our mission to an audience of millions."
The collaboration is initially scheduled to run for three years.
