Hilton has officially unveiled the Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa, which it claims is the most significant new resort development to open in California this year.

The property is situated directly opposite Ponto Beach in north San Diego County and comprises 215 guestrooms, as well as amenities such as the 5,600 sq ft Ocean Crest Spa, which offers treatments inspired by the healing powers of the sea.

Guests can also head to Chandler"s Restaurant & Lounge to try the cuisine of acclaimed international chef Pascal Vignau.

Some of the hotel"s rooms boast panoramic ocean views and all feature 42-inch flat-panel televisions, complimentary Wi-Fi and mini-refrigerators.

The property is located within five minutes of Legoland California and near several golf courses and beaches.
