Snoop Dogg and Barack Obama in Air New Zealand safety vid by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Air New Zealand is hoping to add a sense of fun and novelty to inflight safety with a new animated information video featuring representations of a number of famous figures, ranging from rapper Snoop Dogg to American president Barack Obama.
The hand-sketched film also boasts "cameo appearances" from the likes of New Zealand-born actress Melanie Lynskey of Two and a Half Men fame, All Black rugby captain Richie McCaw and French president Francois Hollande.
Due to be rolled out on all international and domestic jet flights from early July, the safety video can be seen now on YouTube.
Air New Zealand has launched a competition offering a round-the-world trip for two for people who are able to identify more than five of the animated celebrities.
Chris Myers, the airline"s general manager in Europe, said previous safety information films have attracted more than 20m views online and featured everything from staff members in body paint to international rugby players.
"This time, we"re taking the opportunity to highlight the global reach of our business and to recognise world events and celebrities in a uniquely Air New Zealand way," he added.
