Southampton Airport welcomes Flybe-KLM codeshare by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers based in the UK will have easier access to several long-haul destinations as a result of a codeshare agreement between Flybe and KLM, according to Southampton Airport.

The deal means passengers can connect to 150 locations around the world via the Dutch carrier"s hub at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, without having to collect luggage, check in or pay for separate journeys.

Flights to Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, Tokyo, Shanghai and Mumbai will all be available to people heading to Amsterdam with Flybe and onward with KLM.

Dave Lees, Southampton Airport"s managing director, described the new agreement between the airlines as "fantastic news" for the base and the wider region.

"By codesharing, Flybe and KLM are providing a competitively priced service that will see passengers starting and ending their journey here at their local airport with all the convenience that brings," he added.

Travellers can also catch direct flights to Paris, Edinburgh, Malaga and many other cities from Southampton with Flybe.
