Swissotel set to open new Saudi Arabia hotel by Cheap Flights Booker UK

A new 1,487-room hotel is set to open its doors in Saudi Arabia next month.

The Swissotel Makkah, which is one of the largest establishments of its kind in the country, will stage its grand opening in July to coincide with the start of Ramadan.

It marks the first Swissotel Hotels and Resorts property to launch in the Middle East and will also be the global hospitality chain"s biggest hotel.

Meinhard Huck, president of Swissotel Hotels and Resorts, said the establishment occupies the most convenient location in the whole of Makkah.

"We anticipate Swissotel Makkah to be the preferred destination not only for pilgrims and Umra performers but also for business travellers," he explained.

The hotel will feature 36 sq m rooms, along with 352 triple-bed rooms and 22 disabled-friendly rooms. Free internet access will be available to all guests.

In April, Swissotel launched its first property in the Thai resort of Phuket after being appointed manager of the existing Courtyard by Marriott at Kamala Beach.
