Tourists Urged To Visit Sydney Villages
Tourists urged to visit Sydney villages by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Destination New South Wales (NSW) and the City of Sydney have teamed up to launch a travel guide promoting the many attractive villages in the area.
The Slices of Sydney pocket guide is being supported by a new campaign on the Destination NSW website and Sydney.com focusing on the "unique" small communities that can be found in and around the harbour city.
It highlights lesser-known attractions such as the I Have a Dream mural on Newtown"s King Street, top eateries in Glebe and the fashion destinations of Darlinghurst.
The vibrant Chinatown and Walsh Bay, with its historic back streets and piers, are also promoted as part of the initiative.
Paddington, Surry Hills, Potts Point and Pyrmont are among the other villages showcased by Slices of Sydney.
Lord mayor Clover Moore said: "Highlighting the history, quirks and curiosities of each village is as important for our culture and economy as marketing big-hitting tourist attractions, like Sydney Opera House."
