Jumbo Hostel Opened In Stockholm
"Jumbo hostel" opened in Stockholm by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The world"s first "jumbo hostel" – a hostel based inside a real Boeing 747 jumbo jet – has opened at Stockholm Arlanda airport.
Known affectionately as Liv, the plane was grounded at the Swedish capital"s airport in November 2002 and since then has undergone a major renovation project to prepare it to welcome guests.
The hostel was officially opened earlier this month and is now hosting visitors.
During its time located at the entrance to Arlanda airport since August last year, the retired aircraft has become a popular landmark.
Oscar Dios, chief executive of the jumbo hostel, said: "Stockholm Arlanda airport will now boast a new alternative option for overnight accommodation, but also a fierce attraction.
"This should bring an increased interest in Stockholm and the region."
The hostel has attracted media attention all over the world, with news teams from as far and wide as Japan, the USA, Brazil and Germany travelling to Stockholm to film the new attraction.
