Electronic Art Hotel Opens In Poland
Electronic art hotel opens in Poland by Cheap Flights Booker UK
This month has seen the variety of accommodation options on offer to holidaymakers in Poland extended by what must be one of the country"s most unusual hotels.
Blow Up Hall 50 50, a luxury hotel themed around electronic art, has opened in the city of Poznan, not far from Poland"s border with Germany.
The new establishment is attached to what is described as a "socially-inclusive" cultural venue and has been based around an interactive art project by Mexican-Canadian electronic artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.
Various visual and musical installations are located throughout the hotel"s communal spaces and 22 bedrooms, including Lozano-Hemmer"s Blow-up, an interactive display that separates one surveillance camera view into 2,400 virtual cameras.
In another innovation, guests at the hotel are given an iPhone instead of a key, which shows them to their room with a beam of light and opens their door using recognition technology.
Poznan is one of many destinations in Poland that have become popular for city breaks, along with Krakow, Warsaw and Gdansk.
