Iceland Lighthouses To Host Art Exhibitions
Iceland lighthouses to host art exhibitions by Cheap Flights Booker UK
A number of special exhibitions will be opened at lighthouses across Iceland in May as part of the annual Reykjavik Arts Festival.
Throughout the summer, art displays will be open at the lighthouses of Bjargtangi in the Westfjords, Kopasker in the north-east, Daltangi in the east and Gardskagi in south-west Iceland.
Artists and groups participating in the initiative include the Icelandic Love Corporation, Asdis Gunnarsdottir and Curver Thoroddsen.
The Reykjavik Arts Festival itself will take place between 15 and 30 May and will see a variety of theatre events, dance shows, music concerts and visual art exhibitions held in the Icelandic capital.
Earlier this month, Reykjavik"s first city centre hostel opened near the city"s old harbour, boasting facilities including free internet access, a coffee bar and rooms to accommodate solo travellers, couples and families.
As well as offering cheap accommodation, the hostel provides easy access to attractions including museums, music venues, pubs, restaurants and galleries.
