BA, Qantas team up on Ashes promotion by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British Airways (BA) and Qantas have teamed up to launch a promotion based on the 2009 Ashes cricket series, which began yesterday (8 July).
Following the second Test match at Lord"s between 16 and 20 July, the airlines will offer a certain number of seats on flights to Australia at a price determined by the runs scored in the game.
Australia"s first innings score will relate to the fares, while England"s reply will be the number of seats available.
If the Aussies score 230, for example, and England go on to put 395 runs on the board, BA and Qantas will offer 395 seats at £230, which would be a substantial reduction on typical fares to Australia.
Simon Brooks, BA"s consumer sales manager, said: "If it"s anything like the previous Ashes, we expect to be bowled over with interest from customers.
"The Ashes is a highlight in the sporting calendar and now there"s an extra reason to get behind your team."
BA launched a similar promotion during the 2005 Ashes series, offering 367 seats priced at £373, which sold out in 30 minutes.
