IHG relaunches 1,000th Holiday Inn by Cheap Flights Booker UK

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced today (24 July) that it has reached a milestone in its campaign to relaunch its Holiday Inn brand.
The Holiday Inn Express New York City in Times Square is the 1,000th property to be updated and reopened under the initiative.
IHG"s $1bn (£608m) overhaul of its Holiday Inn brand is thought to be the largest campaign of its kind ever conducted in the hospitality industry.
More than 3,200 properties from Boston to Beijing are being improved through the scheme.
Andy Cosslett, chief executive of IHG, said: "The opening of our 1,000th relaunched Holiday Inn hotel is the latest milestone on our three-year journey and demonstrates the momentum behind the programme.
"Despite the tough economic climate, we"ve relaunched, on average, four hotels a day for the past six months and we"re committed to completing the global relaunch by the end of 2010."
The hotel chain also announced this month that it had opened a new Holiday Inn Express property in Largo, Florida.
