Bristol Airport Prepares For Busy August
Bristol Airport prepares for busy August by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Bristol Airport has revealed that it is expecting August to be its busiest month of the year so far as British travellers escape the poor weather at home by taking last-minute holidays.
While demand for air travel reduced during the winter months as the economic crisis took hold, traffic on international scheduled routes from Bristol is now beginning to return to 2008 levels.
The airport is preparing for a particularly busy period over the coming weeks, partly due to the fact that easyJet will be basing a twelfth aircraft at the hub for two weeks during August.
In order to ensure that operations are as smooth as possible, airport managers have appealed to people flying with carriers such as Air France, KLM, Eastern Airways and easyJet to make full use of online check-in services and self-service kiosks.
James Gore, head of communications at Bristol, said: "We ask passengers travelling with scheduled airlines during August to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes ahead of their departure time – and three hours ahead if travelling on a charter flight.
"The terminal team is working hard to keep any queues moving quickly, but leaving it late to check in or clear security can create problems and could mean running the risk of missing a flight."
People travelling from Bristol can catch flights to New York, Barcelona, Paris and other popular destinations.
