Skiing awareness tour to return this winter by Cheap Flights Booker UK
British travellers planning skiing and snowboarding trips this winter will have the opportunity to attend an off-piste and avalanche awareness talk before setting off on their holiday.
The Ski Club of Great Britain announced that it had teamed up with Henry"s Avalanche Talk (HAT) and sports retailer Snow+Rock to offer the awareness tour again this year.
Talks will be held at a number of Snow+Rock stores across Britain, including branches in Covent Garden (3 November), Gateshead (4 November), Bristol (12 November) and Liverpool (21 November).
Experts will give an audiovisual presentation on how to combine fun with safety during off-piste skiing trips.
Caroline Stuart Taylor, chief executive of the Ski Club, said: "With safety and snowsports continuing to hit the headlines, people are realising how important it is to be aware of how to stay safe in the mountains.
"By running a series of off-piste and avalanche awareness talks with our partners HAT, Snow+Rock and Arc"tyrex, we hope that people can learn the basics of mountain safety before they go away and have a level of understanding which will help them have fun on their holiday."
There will also be a number of training sessions focusing on search and rescue operations for off-piste groups, which will be held on UK beaches including Sandbanks in Dorset and Formby in Merseyside.
