Travellers Should Make Currency Plans In Advance

Travellers "should make currency plans in advance" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

People planning trips abroad in the future have been reminded of the importance of acquiring their foreign currency in advance.
Stephen Heath, chief executive of foreign exchange company FairFX.com, said many people fall into the habit of waiting until they get to the airport to exchange their money.
Dealing in cash is usually a "very expensive way" of exchanging currency, according to Mr Heath.
"Holidaymakers typically leave their travel currency to the very last minute and the closer you leave it to the last minute, the worse deal you get," he said.
"The worst possible place to get your currency is at the airport, where the exchange rates are very poor and the advertising that goes with them very misleading."
Mr Heath also commented on the trend of British travellers considering non-euro destinations such as Turkey and Egypt owing to the weak state of the pound against the single European currency.
Holidaymakers planning to visit countries outside the eurozone were advised to do some research on their currencies before travelling.
"People have looked at other destinations like Turkey and Egypt and have less knowledge about the currencies in those countries," Mr Heath said.
