South Africa ready for "World Cup like no other" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
South Africa is "ready to welcome the world" in June next year and is preparing to host a "World Cup like no other", according to the African Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA).
The country will welcome football fans, teams and media representatives from across the globe from 11 June to 11 July next year for the 2010 Fifa World Cup.
Matches will take place in some of the nation"s most popular tourist cities, including Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.
According to the ATTA, the tournament will provide "an ideal opportunity for many fans to combine sport with a trip to a truly world-class travel destination".
The association also pointed out that there is plenty for visitors to do in the country if they are not interested in sport, such as whale watching and wine tasting around Cape Town, going on safari in Kruger Park and scuba diving in Durban.
South Africa prepared for the 2010 World Cup by hosting a British and Irish Lions rugby tour and the Confederations Cup earlier this year.
