UK Travellers Heading To Long Haul Destinations
UK travellers "heading to long-haul destinations" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Long-haul destinations are proving an attractive option for British travellers heading overseas this autumn, according to foreign currency research by the Post Office.
The organisation revealed that thousands of people have been exchanging their pounds for the currencies of countries such as Kenya and Egypt, both of which have seen substantial growth in demand recently.
China"s yuan and the Indonesian rupiyah have also been proving popular, the research showed.
British travellers have also been showing an interest in short- and mid-haul destinations that are not part of the eurozone, such as Croatia and Turkey.
Sarah Munro, head of Post Office Travel Services, pointed out that holidaymakers can save themselves money by using a pre-paid currency card or acquiring their foreign cash in advance.
According to a report released by the company last month, some 4.8m people travelled abroad during the October half-term, many of whom ran the risk of encountering problems by leaving their plans until the last minute.
