BA Could Launch More US Flights
BA could launch more US flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
British Airways (BA) could expand its network from London City airport in the future with the launch of additional flights to the US.
Speaking at the Business Travel Market last week, BA chief executive Willie Walsh said the airline was considering new transatlantic services following the success of its business class flights to New York from the London base.
The expansion is likely to focus on eastern cities owing to the length of the runway at London City, TTG Live reported.
"We could look at Boston, Washington and Chicago," Mr Walsh said.
"We have two aircraft [at London City] and if it continues the way it has we will definitely look at additional services. It could be more frequencies or additional destinations."
BA also announced last week that it would be expanding its network from Gatwick this year with the launch of new flights to Cancun in Mexico.
The daily service will begin on 3 November.
