Ritz-Carlton opens second hotel in Shanghai by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Hotel chain Ritz-Carlton yesterday (21 June) opened its second property in Shanghai.

The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong features 285 rooms and is described by the company as "Shanghai"s ultimate destination for luxury and style".

Facilities on offer to guests include a number of restaurants and a bar that offers views of the Chinese city"s skyline and the Bund, a popular tourist hotspot in the Huangpu district.

Visitors will also be able to receive some treatments in the Ritz-Carlton Spa.

The property is located within Shanghai ifc, an area of prime real estate in the Lujiazui financial trade zone.

Rainer Burkle, Ritz-Carlton"s area vice president and general manager, said: "The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong is an integral feature of Shanghai ifc, developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, one of Asia"s leading property developers, with proven excellence in creating world-class mixed-use developments."

The company also owns the Ritz-Carlton Portman, Shanghai at Puxi, which is reportedly one of the city"s leading luxury accommodation establishments.
