Emirates to offer mobile and internet access on A380 by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Emirates has selected OnAir to provide full mobile and internet connectivity across its Airbus A380 fleet.
The airline has placed orders for 90 of the double-decker planes, all of which are set to offer mobile and internet access on long-haul routes.
Passengers will be able to use their phones, laptops and internet-enabled devices to make calls, send messages or access the web when the first OnAir-equipped Emirates A380 comes into service in June 2012.
Tim Clark, president of the airline, said: "Emirates" inflight entertainment system is a consistent global award winner and we are constantly looking to enhance the services we provide to our passengers.
"Our decision to install a full set of inflight connectivity services is part of our ongoing effort to provide customers with the real-time access to information that they demand."
Emirates currently uses the A380 to operate flights to Dubai from London Heathrow, as well as services to Sydney, Auckland, Seoul and other destinations from its base in the Middle East.
The airline will extend its superjumbo network to Manchester in September this year.
