Holidaymakers invited to Germany"s theme parks by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Holidaymakers planning a trip to Germany this summer have been encouraged to pay a visit to the country"s south-west to experience some of its biggest and most popular theme parks.
The state tourist board for Baden-Wurttemberg points out that the region is home to Europe"s tallest rollercoaster and the world"s longest rope suspension bridge.
Europa-Park welcomes 4.5m visitors every year, who come to experience its 100 attractions, arguably the most famous of which is Silver Star.
The ride, which is officially the highest rollercoaster in Europe, reaches speeds of 80mph.
Europa-Park is located half an hour from Freiburg and is due to open for the 2011 season on 9 April.
Erlebnispark Tripsdrill, about 25 miles north of Stuttgart, is home to a castle, half-timbered houses and gardens that attract some 600,000 visitors every year.
Guests can visit the park from 16 April to try out Europe"s tallest log flume or head to the nearby wildlife park, where brown bears, deer, wild horses, Arctic wolves and other animals roam free.
Opening on the same date this year is Ravensburger Spieleland, which offers a range of experiences including alpine river rafting, tobogganing and hunting for treasure in a gold mine.
