New Flybe route from Manchester to Derry by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Flybe will launch a new route this summer linking Manchester to the city of Derry in Northern Ireland.

The regional airline will operate five weekly return flights between the destinations from 19 May to 25 September 2011.

Services will depart on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The new route will allow travellers based in northern England to learn more about Derry before the destination becomes the UK"s City of Culture in 2013.

Flybe"s chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: "We"re delighted to be adding this service from Manchester to the city of Derry, which demonstrates our commitment to bringing convenient, affordable travel to passengers throughout the UK.

"As Derry prepares and builds towards its … City of Culture status in 2013, this route will be an added bonus for leisure and business travellers to both cultural hubs."

Manchester airport"s managing director Andrew Harrison said the base is "delighted" that Flybe is providing more choice for travellers heading to Northern Ireland.

The airline also operates flights from Manchester to Belfast, Edinburgh, Paris, Milan and many other destinations.
