Ignacio Osle, local spokesman for house builder Taylor Wimpey, said: "We aren"t surprised that Marbella has been voted the most fashionable city and beach haven in Spain."

He cited the numerous private villas and glamorous events as two of the big draws that tempt visitors to book flights to the region.
