Seychelles visitors urged to explore local flora and fauna by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Nature lovers planning a trip to the Seychelles have been encouraged to discover the wide variety of plant and animal life found in the island nation.
A spokesperson for the Seychelles Tourism Board pointed out that the country is home to attractions such as the Vallee de Mai, a nature reserve and Unesco World Heritage site on the small island of Praslin.
Visitors can see the remnants of a natural palm forest preserved in almost its original state and look out for animal species including an extremely rare black parrot and one of the world"s smallest frogs.
Other endemic species found around the 115 islands of the archipelago include the bare-legged scops owl, which was once thought to be extinct, and the Seychelles brush warbler.
"Any number of nature trails will expose the high rate of endemism and grand diversity of flora and fauna that characterises these islands," commented the tourist board spokesperson.
Flights to Mahe, the largest island in the Seychelles, are available with Air Seychelles, Qatar Airways, Emirates and other carriers.
