Brazil launches YouTube channel and smartphone app by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Embratur, Brazil"s national tourism agency, has launched an initiative to boost traveller awareness of the country with two hi-tech offerings - a YouTube channel and a smartphone application.

The Visit Brazil channel on the video sharing website was opened in partnership with Google this week and features a number of interactive tools, images and information about experiences on offer in the South American nation.

Marcelo Pedroso, Embratur"s director for international markets, said travelling to the country can be a "unique and exhilarating experience", with so many activities to choose from that visitors can often feel daunted.

"This new tool provides a one-stop destination for trip planning and makes the process fun, informative and interactive," he added.

The Brasil Quest app for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices showcases the 12 cities that will host matches during the 2014 Fifa World Cup through a journey taken by an alien.

It will be available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play from this Friday (23 March).
