EasyJet Recommends Improvements At Luton Airport
EasyJet recommends improvements at Luton airport by Cheap Flights Booker UK
EasyJet has launched what it calls a "strategic vision" for London Luton airport and recommended a number of ways in which the base could be improved.
The airline underlined the need for enhanced infrastructure, better accessibility and a more positive consumer image of Luton.
It called for improved frequency of fast trains to the airport from central London and the removal of the charge for the shuttle bus service.
Focusing on the topic of passenger experience at terminal facilities, easyJet said waiting times at security and immigration must be reduced and more seating and retail outlets should be available "on the way, not in the way".
The carrier also recommended an increase in the number of aircraft stands to remove the need for passengers to take a bus to their plane.
Paul Simmons, easyJet"s UK director, called for the airport and the local council to work alongside airlines to find the best solution for passengers and taxpayers.
"This solution must cover airport infrastructure, improvement of road and rail access and the changing of old perceptions which are holding us back," he added.
